About the Role

R. J. Fuselier & Associates, L.L.C. (RJF&A) is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) licensed in the State of Texas—or a candidate within one year of obtaining licensure—to support our expanding operations.

This position offers the opportunity to work remotely from your home location, while playing a key role in growing our presence throughout Texas.

We are looking for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial-minded professional who is eager to help expand operations, develop client relationships, and contribute to building a thriving Texas division. The ideal candidate is someone who wants more than just a job—they want to take ownership, drive growth, and be part of something being built.

With the support of an established firm, proven workflows, advanced technology, and a strong operational backbone, this role provides a unique opportunity to grow both professionally and financially.

The RPLS will be responsible for overseeing survey projects, reviewing and certifying deliverables, supporting field and office staff, and ensuring compliance with Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) standards.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Active Texas RPLS license or ability to obtain licensure within one year

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive land surveying experience

  • Strong understanding of boundary analysis, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking

  • Proficiency in reviewing plats, legal descriptions, deeds, and title commitments

  • Experience with survey data processing software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with field crews, clients, and internal team members

  • Familiarity with Texas surveying standards and TBPELS requirements

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications (Plus)

  • Experience managing survey teams or mentoring junior staff

  • Knowledge of LiDAR, UAS/drone data collection, or advanced geospatial workflows

  • Multi-state licensure (Louisiana a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary starting at $85,000+, commensurate with experience

  • Competitive benefits package including health insurance and retirement options

  • Work-from-home flexibility

  • Performance-Based Growth Opportunities As our Texas operations expand, this role offers the opportunity for increased responsibility, leadership, and compensation aligned with performance and contribution.

  • Profit Sharing / Incentive Potential Opportunities for performance-based bonuses and profit sharing tied directly to the revenue and profitability of the Texas division, with clear pathways to increased participation as the division grows. This is an ideal role for a motivated professional who wants to directly benefit from the business they help build.

  • Backing of a well-established and growing firm with strong resources, technology, and operational support systems
