Land Survey Technician
Fuselier Surveying & Mapping is seeking an experienced Land Survey Technician to support and lead projects from field to final deliverable.
This is a hybrid role that bridges the gap between field operations and office production. The ideal candidate brings hands-on field experience, strong technical drafting skills, and the ability to take ownership of survey projects from start to completion.
This position offers the flexibility to work from home when performing office tasks, while maintaining close coordination with field crews and project stakeholders.
We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who understands the full lifecycle of a survey project—from research and field execution to data processing and final deliverables. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, capable of guiding field crews, and comfortable communicating directly with clients.

The Land Survey Technician will play a critical role in supporting field crews, processing and reviewing survey data, preparing deliverables, and managing projects through completion.
Key Responsibilities
-Serve as the primary office support for field crews, including:
-Preparing field packages
-Providing direction during field operations
-Identifying critical data needed for successful project completion
-Review and process incoming field data for accuracy, completeness, and quality
-Prepare survey deliverables including:
-Boundary surveys
-Topographic surveys
-Construction and subdivision layouts
-Interpret and work with:
-Legal descriptions
-Deeds and title commitments
-Plats and historical records
-Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce accurate and efficient drawings
-Communicate with clients, project managers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
-Assist in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
-Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel when needed
UAS Remote Pilot Certificate a Plus
Requirements
Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in land surveying with both field and office experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (surface modeling, drafting, plan production)
Demonstrated experience with:
Boundary and topographic surveys
Subdivision and construction layouts
Solid understanding of:
Legal descriptions and deed research
Survey principles and field procedures
Experience working with GPS and total station data, including data processing workflows
Ability to coordinate and guide field crews remotely
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients
Ability to manage projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
Familiarity with LiDAR and/or Global Mapper is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Pre-employment drug screening
UAS Remote Pilot Certificate a Plus
